Take a Virtual Snowshoe through the Wilderness

With our newest Story Map, you can take a virtual tour of Northeast Wilderness Trust’s Orr-Andrawes Wilderness Preserve in Connecticut. You’ll meet Wilderness Trust staff and a volunteer monitor, and learn what it takes to steward wilderness areas across the region. (Hint: volunteers make a big difference!)

The Orr-Andrawes Wilderness Preserve consists of 87 acres located in northwest Connecticut near Canaan Mountain. It is adjacent to Housatonic State Forest. The land was donated to Northeast Wilderness Trust in 2012 by Alison Orr-Andrawes.
