Experience Grafton Forest Wilderness Preserve on a day-long guided hike with Northeast Wilderness Trust’s Northern New England Land Steward, Becky Clough, and Outreach Manager, Sophi Veltrop. We’ll explore the wildlife and ecosystems of this newly established Preserve via the Speck Pond Trail. See rewilding in action and learn about how forever-wild conservation happens in the Western Maine Mountains and beyond. This trip is limited to 10 participants.
This adventure will be 6.4 miles round-trip with 2,300 feet of elevation gain. There will be an option to hike additional mileage to Speck Pond (resulting in 7.2 miles total round-trip). The terrain will be rocky and steep in many places.
RSVP to sophi @ newildernesstrust.org by 9/26 to reserve your spot! Directions and details will be emailed to attendees.
In the event of inclement weather, the rain date is 10/8.
