This event will be rescheduled (date TBD) due to flood warnings across eastern New York. Please sign up for our monthly Enewsletter here to receive event updates.
Join Northeast Wilderness Trust and Adirondack Council for a day on the land helping care for a special wild place. The Floodplain Forest is an 87-acre preserve within the Split Rock Wildway of Essex, NY owned by the Eddy Foundation and conserved with a Northeast Wilderness Trust easement. This unique forested wetland naturally floods as the river rises and falls, often leaving behind trash on the land. We’ll put our hands to the task to clean up litter and debris that has accumulated.
RSVP to Sophi Veltrop at sophi@newildernesstrust.org to register and receive directions. Please include number of people in your party and your phone number. We look forward to cleaning up Floodplain Forest with you!
