Summer Internships with the Wilderness Trust

Northeast Wilderness Trust is hiring two paid internship positions for the summer of 2022.

Rewilding Internship

The Rewilding Internship is open to members of the Wampanoag Nation and is based in Kingston, MA at our Muddy Pond Wilderness Preserve, pictured above. This Internship is hosted by NEWT with support from Native Land Conservancy. The Intern will complete a Capstone Project focused on ecological research, education, communications, or restoration, and will have opportunities for professional development and travel. Wildlands Ecology Internship

The Wildlands Ecology Intern will work closely with Northeast Wilderness Trust staff on a variety of data collection and stewardship tasks, primarily the establishment and initial monitoring of a series of long-term forest monitoring plots on NEWT Preserves. Other tasks may include wildlife camera placement and photo collection, soundscape monitoring, and assisting in the preparation of ecological reports.
